Bankers paid in full in five-star humiliation
Silver Strikers came to Blantyre to collect and the Bankers were paid in full as FCB Nyasa Bullets massacred them 5-0 in a one-sided FDH Bank Premiership fixture at Mpira Stadium in Chiwembe Township.
It only took two minutes for the five-star humiliation to commence as hat-trick hero and Player of the Match striker Ephraim Kondowe introduced Silver to the beatings.
The Bankers tried to fight back with Chinsisi Maonga coming closest, but he wasted a chance that could have brought the visitors level.

Instead, Kondowe returned in the 34th minute to double the misery.
Then Wongani Lungu made it 3-0 before half-time, leaving Silver head coach Peter Mgangira shaking his head in disbelief as he headed to the dressing room.
The second-half offered little relief as Kondowe completed his hat-trick in the 62nd minute assisted by Lungu.
And just when Silver thought enough was enough, Misheck Billiat added the fifth in the 70th minute.
When the final whistle blew, it was a relief for the Lilongwe-based outfit while Bullets celebrated perhaps their biggest win in a decade.
Bullets head coach Wedson Nyirenda in a post-match interview praised his charges for the five-star performance which saw them finish the first round emphatically and ascend to the top of the table with 30 points.
Mgangira, on the other hand, expressed shock at the humiliating defeat.
He said: “Not a scoreline that we expected. We conceded I think, silly goals. Individual errors and also as departmental errors.
“It’s something that we need to work on. On the performance, I think we played well. But then football is decided by goals. So, yes, a bad result.
“Something that we never expected, especially looking at the scoreline. But then this is football. We have to accept it.”
